It’s that time again! That’s right; it’s time to make gingerbread houses!

The gingerbread house first became popular in Germany after the story of “Hansel and Gretel” was published by the Brothers Grimm. Settlers from Germany brought the tradition with them to the Americas, where it is still extremely popular. The largest gingerbread house on record, made in Poland, was 11.5 feet high and took 4,000 loaves of gingerbread to create.
